PUBLIC vs PRIVATE Opinion

march 18, 2007

In a society where Political correctness has been established, it is , or it should be obvious that the people being asked a question, might not want to express their real opinion (private opinion)
but would rather express, what they think is acceptable, ie public opinion.

THE public OPINION POLLS should realize this. During the 2006 elections in Tennessee, Harold Ford was running for the Senate seat. Because he was the first Black to run in that state, people were asked if they would vote for a Black..................and the analyst noted that perhaps people would give a PUBLIC politically correct opinion , rather than their PRIVATE OPINION WHICH WOULD BE GIVEN AS A NO VOTE in the booth.

THE SAME PHENOMENON APPLIES WHERE BARACK OBAMA is concerned, for the presidential ticket in 2008

POLLOCRACY or DEMOCRACY ?

MARCH 1, 2007

DURING ELECTIONS, IF POLL NUMBERS PREDICT THE OUTCOME OF ELECTIONS , ie allowing poll numbers to become self-fulfilling prophecies, THEN WE MUST SAY THAT WHAT WE REALLY HAVE IS ....................POLLOCRACY , and not DEMOCRACY.

DEMOCRACY is where VOTES matter on Election day , not the Opinions collected by Pollsters or POLLOCRATS..........who want to influence the outcome of elections by declaring one candidate ahead of another ......thus creating an unlevel playing field.

This Pollocracy, plus the FUNDRAISINGS for CAMPAIGNS are the 2 major influences and are actually running the political show, before people have a chance to think about issues .

In the old days , there was a saying THERE IS NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW- BUSINESS,

Nowadays, I feel confident in qualifying it :
THERE IS NO BUSINESS LIKE POLITICAL SHOW BUSINESS !!!
